About The Position

OBJECTIVE: The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for leading maintenance efforts across electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. This role involves designing maintenance strategies, mentoring lower-level technicians, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager LEADS: : None ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the technical expert for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all major systems (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical). Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and protocols, and review them to assess their relevance and applicability. Lead the continuous improvement process by identifying trends, implementing solutions, and reducing downtime. Oversee data analysis efforts to predict equipment failures and optimize performance. Provide leadership and training to Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance technicians, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development. Build and support a positive and productive work environment by encouraging professional and collaborative interactions with team members and co-workers. Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements, in accordance with company policy. Adhere to company safety requirements. Regular attendance. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Completion of Senior technician requirements or 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance. Extensive knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Leadership experience in a maintenance or technical role. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems. Proven track record of implementing successful continuous improvement projects. Key Expectations Electrical: Lead electrical troubleshooting and maintenance efforts, including high-level motor control systems. Pneumatics: Lead troubleshooting complex pneumatic system issues. Mechanics: Oversee all major mechanical repairs and ensure efficient maintenance schedules. Problem-Solving: Lead the root cause analysis process and implement long-term solutions. Documentation: Provide clear documentation and reports, lead communication across departments, and mentor junior technicians. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequently required to sit and walk. Frequently required to walk up and down stairs. Frequently required to talk and hear. Required to stand 3-4 hours at a time Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (12 kg). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg). Fine motor control to grasp ad manipulate objects Frequently required to bend at the waist and knees Frequently required to reach Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus Frequently required to work with products that contain chemicals or may contain hazardous materials. Requirements
