As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you’ll effectively and efficiently communicate, facilitate, and prioritize all maintenance activities within your area. This position requires working closely with other supply groups, particularly Quality and Operations, to ensure consistent product quality, productivity, and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND 4+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military or related environment.
  • OR
  • Industrial Electricity degree or similar trade school certificate AND 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military or related environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team member within the maintenance department to improve the total reliability of the plant.
  • Understand maintenance principles and develop self and department work practices to promote a proactive environment.
  • Prioritize all maintenance activities such as unplanned work orders, continuous improvement activities, and operational preventative maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot routine and non-routine issues and direct maintenance team resources towards achieving safe, timely, and cost-efficient solutions.
  • Use effective shift communications. Attend and lead on maintenance issues in shift overlaps, quality reviews, and daily meetings as required.
  • Train technicians in safe operating procedures including continued input as appropriate regarding safety. Provide input to any investigation for area of responsibility.
