About The Position

Lead Maintenance Technician (Multi-Site) Shoot Smart – Fort Worth Area Position Summary Shoot Smart is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to help coordinate and support maintenance operations across multiple indoor shooting range locations. This role combines hands-on technical work with day-to-day leadership responsibilities, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Lead Maintenance Technician works closely with the Facilities Manager to organize workloads, support team members, and maintain consistent standards across all locations.

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field required.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team performance.
  • Professional judgment and reliability in day-to-day operations.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate tools and maintenance equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a lead or senior technician role preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across multiple systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
  • Experience prioritizing and coordinating work in a multi-site environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMS or work order systems (e.g., UpKeep) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities across multiple facilities.
  • Assist with scheduling and prioritizing work orders based on operational needs.
  • Provide guidance, support, and technical direction to maintenance technicians.
  • Monitor completion of assigned tasks to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Carry out routine and corrective maintenance in shooting ranges and retail areas.
  • Diagnose issues with building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Review and address incoming work orders according to priority.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition.
  • Communicate status updates, challenges, and completed work clearly.
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • HVAC systems and basic controls.
  • Plumbing and general building repairs.
  • Mechanical and range-related equipment.
  • Basic IT and network troubleshooting.
  • Facility upkeep, including grounds and common areas.
  • Brass and lead reclamation processes.
