About The Position

As a Lead Maintenance Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment is operating flawlessly. Your expertise and attention to detail will help us maintain world-class standards and achieve our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, installation, and general repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. You will also create and document clear processes for preventive maintenance to maintain 98% uptime. Additionally, you will lead and direct a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations. As a safety team member, you will apply your expertise in building infrastructure to effectively respond to chemical spills and other emergencies involving chemicals, collaborating closely with our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team. You will actively contribute to equipment purchases and process design/re-design, including writing equipment approval and routing procedures. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
