About The Position

Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Controller to join our teams supporting the KC-46 Programs at Edwards AFB, CA. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Candidate must be deemed physically able to perform Aircraft Maintenance type work after a medical evaluation.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
  • Must be able to complete Fall Protection Training.
  • Experience working with precision measuring tools.
  • 5+ years of Electrical and/or Avionics Mechanic experience working with various electrical components for military aircraft.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience on KC-46 aircraft.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Hold or have held a U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs of aircraft, aircraft components and support equipment.
  • Ensures, documents and dispositions aircraft, components and support equipment maintenance data.
  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
  • Use technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions and FAA forms and publications to accomplish work assignment.
  • Maintains and tracks Company and FAA required records and inspection forms.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
  • Plan and organize the sequence of your own work and others work package in such a way as to promote safe, efficient operation and meet predetermined schedules in a timely manner.
  • Operate any and all types of information systems required to perform assigned tasks; including but not limited to Company and Customer WEB based systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Interpret and plan to the requirements of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and other approved/accepted data.
  • Make production aids to facilitate work assignment.
  • Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
  • Exchange information with suppliers, customers or other company representatives to explain or demonstrate operations, tests or difficulties.
