What You Will Get To Do: Security software management: Configure and maintain mainframe security policies in a Top Secret and RACF environment. Access control: Create, update, and manage user IDs, passwords, and access rules to ensure users only have access to necessary data and resources.

Requirements

Technical skills: Proficiency with mainframe security software (RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret).
Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe tools.
Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and threat analysis.
Proficiency in scripting languages like REXX for automation.
Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong ability to analyze security risks and troubleshoot complex issues.
Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
Communication and collaboration skills: Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work effectively with other teams and influence others.
Knowledge: Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes.
Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.

Responsibilities

Security software management: Configure and maintain mainframe security policies in a Top Secret and RACF environment.
Access control: Create, update, and manage user IDs, passwords, and access rules to ensure users only have access to necessary data and resources.
Monitoring and auditing: Monitor system security, review security logs, and perform regular security audits to detect and report violations and vulnerabilities.
Incident response: Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis to understand and mitigate threats.
Policy enforcement: Ensure the mainframe environment complies with internal security policies and external regulations.
Collaboration: Work with application developers, other IT teams, and compliance officers to support application onboarding, resolve security issues, and implement security requirements.
Automation: Develop and use scripts (like REXX) to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.
