About The Position

The Lead Machine Operator at Ontex Operations USA LLC is responsible for efficiently operating production lines to ensure product quality and meet key performance indicators (KPIs). This role involves coordinating a team, performing maintenance, and addressing any operational issues that arise during the shift. The position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of experience in a high-speed/fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Mathematical aptitude and ability to use small hand tools are required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of lean principles such as waste identification and performance improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Strive for zero accidents on the production line.
• Ensure the quality of the product being produced.
• Lead and coordinate the tasks of the team assigned to the production line during the shift to meet KPI targets.
• Operate the production line efficiently while adhering to process standards.
• Analyze and resolve issues that arise during production, seeking support from Process Technicians and Team Leaders as needed.
• Execute small changeovers and participate in larger changeovers when required.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and assist with scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Communicate process issues and improvement ideas to the Process Technician.
• Report technical issues and improvement suggestions to the Team Leader.
• Identify opportunities for waste elimination and create solutions.
