Requirements

  • BA/BS in field necessary to assume Lead Logistics, Acquisitions and Hardware Asset Management Specialist or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 12+ years of experience with 7+ years of position-specific relevant experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and computers.
  • Proven experience with Diplomatic Pouch processes for shipping and receiving materials to/from OCONUS embassies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DoD warehouse systems and equipment as a Contractor, Civilian, or Military personnel.
  • Experience training other personnel on forklift operations and safety.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing advanced procedures to optimize the receipt, dispatch, and secure storage of equipment and parts, including those destined for Overseas Contingency Operations (OCONUS) embassies via Diplomatic Pouch processes.
  • Strategically provide training, transport services, land mobile radio, SATCOM, logistics and warehouse services, optimizing warehouse staffing, vehicle fleet utilization, and equipment availability, while ensuring maximum efficiency and operational readiness.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with security, sanitation, and administrative personnel, promoting seamless interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of inventory statistics to strategically improve mission partners' inventory management, proactively adjusting restock levels based on data-driven insights.
  • Conduct thorough research of warehouse and inventory reports, actively participate in comprehensive audits, and develop strategic recommendations for significant improvements to warehouse operations.
  • Provide expert support for projects involving the adoption of advanced IT systems for focused logistics and supply chain integration, particularly in diverse and challenging operational environments.
  • Lead the development and revision of operational policies and procedures, implement thorough physical security operations, and champion the safe and efficient use of all communication and warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation and records of all warehouse activities, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
  • Lead and manage information and technology (IT), enabling services including communication transport and logistics, and provide direction and mentorship to subordinate staff.
