The position supervises and coordinates the activities of Lockbox Clerical Workers under the direction of the Supervisor. Must have knowledge of all department systems equipment. Banking and accounting experience is a MUST.

Requirements

  • Understanding of computer systems and workflow of department.
  • Decision-making ability.
  • Accuracy with record keeping.
  • Associate's degree.
  • A minimum of 2 -3 years of experience.
  • Leadership experience in a financial payment processing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Must have thorough knowledge of all department equipment including Trans. Remittance Processors, OPS (mail opening processor), Image Scanner Processor and all PC equipment.
  • Prepare work schedules to expedite workflow by examining daily production logs to determine resource utilization.
  • Monitor all work performance of Lockbox for accuracy and true productivity in compliance to that of the contract.
  • Coordinate and control the flow of correspondence.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Check all processed work being transmitted for accuracy through batch control.
  • Make sure all payments received are secured in the Lockbox area and that currency is placed in the safe.
  • Participate in the training of new staff members.
  • Work under the direction of the Supervisor and perform some of the duties in his or her absence.
