About The Position

Stake Center Locating is recruiting an experienced Locate Technician to become a Lead Locate Technician on our team. The optimal candidate will have the responsibility of aiding, supervising, and organizing the tasks of locate technicians as instructed to guarantee precise and efficient identification of underground utilities. In the role of Lead Locate Technician, you will be pivotal in project management, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. In just the last six months: We began an aggressive role out plan to put best-in-the-business locating devices and late model vehicles, into the hands of 100% of our locate technicians. Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background check for access to restricted and/or controlled areas.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to locate.
• Ability to effectively perform a PDR or damage investigation.
• Ability to interact with all involved, the public, customers, contractors, utility representatives and all those under their direction.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Perform damage investigations
• Conduct audits (including Field Safety Audits)
• Execute ride along with crew members
• Team Management Manage ticket distribution
• Upkeep of vehicles (issues and maintenance)
• Manage equipment and supplies (including issues and distribution)
• Manage recruitment to team
• Team Leadership Provide mentorship and guidance to locate technicians
• Foster positivity and safety among crew members
• Help with difficult locates
• Conduct crew meetings and reporting
• Technical Expertise Continuously learn about equipment and technology
• Customer Interaction Address concerns or inquiries from customers
• Maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication
• Safety Compliance Report and investigate accidents/injuries
• Conduct SOP directives
