About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Lead Line Cook for Cinco Ninos. In this role, you will support and assist the Restaurant Chef in the oversight of the restaurant’s kitchen operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the preparation of food items for all restaurant meals and visually inspecting all food products to be served to ensure they all meet the quality standards set out by departmental and resort management. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure meals are prepared consistently, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards for our guests.

Requirements

  • State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification.
  • 3–5 years of experience, preferably in resort, upscale casual, or high-volume restaurant environments.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, organization, prep management, and service execution is essential.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of leading by example during busy services.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe® certification is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) guidelines to ensure efficient, safe and sanitary food production, preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the facility recipes, portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates and guests.
