The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall operation of the pool and surrounding deck areas. This role provides direct supervision and support to the lifeguard team, helping maintain high safety, service, and operational standards. The Lead Lifeguard assists with training, coaching, and guiding staff, supports scheduling needs, and ensures all safety protocols, health regulations, and company policies are consistently followed to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY Maintain constant vigilance and uphold all pool safety standards to ensure guest well‑being Lead by example, supporting and guiding lifeguard staff throughout daily operations Provide clear, professional communication with guests, team members, and leadership Assist with training, coaching, and reinforcing proper lifeguarding techniques and procedures Ensure the pool and deck areas remain clean, organized, and guest‑ready Demonstrate strong initiative and sound judgment when responding to emergencies or unexpected situations Foster a positive, team‑focused environment that encourages collaboration and high performance WHAT YOU WILL NEED Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to deliver exceptional guest service and resolve issues professionally Leadership qualities with the ability to support and guide lifeguard staff Knowledge of pool safety, emergency response, and operational procedures Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in fast‑paced or high‑pressure situations Strong organizational skills to assist with training, scheduling, and daily operations Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and team members ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age Lifeguard and CPR certifications required (must be obtained prior to employment) Previous lifeguard experience required; leadership experience preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, and pulling Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods Ability to perform rescue skills in accordance with American Red Cross guidelines TOGETHER WE WIN We believe in delivering family-style service—an approach that fosters warmth, connection, and a genuine sense of belonging.
