About The Position
The Lead Lifeguard (Seasonal) position in the Parks & Recreation department involves performing duties that require independence, accountability, and responsibility. Lifeguards will be responsible for testing water levels and safety equipment daily, ensuring the overall safety of visitors, and supervising other lifeguards. The employment is traditionally seasonal, lasting up to 5 months, and requires availability on weekends and holidays. If hired, the applicant must pay for and attend a lifeguard training class and purchase a lifeguard uniform. Certification from the American Red Cross is required for employment.
