Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic has officially moved into our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility at 374 6th Ave, New York, NY — and now we’re looking for a Lead LVT to join our incredible team. Our thoughtfully designed facility blends efficiency, comfort, and collaboration: 5 spacious, modern exam rooms State-of-the-art surgical and dental suites (2 dental tables) Relaxing staff lounge to recharge Advanced technology with Vetspire cloud-based records We’re Fear Free , Feline Friendly Certified , and Human-Animal Bond Certified , offering routine and advanced surgery, dentistry, and urgent care — all in a setting where your skills and compassion will shine.

Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of New York, or an experienced veterinary technician working toward your license in the next 6 months.
  • 3+ years’ experience (leadership/mentorship preferred)
  • Skilled in animal handling and calm under pressure
  • Strong communicator and team player

Nice To Haves

  • Vetspire experience is a plus , but not required

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide our tech/assistant team to grow skills and teamwork
  • Partner with veterinarians to deliver gold-standard patient care
  • Oversee training, workflow, and adherence to best practices
  • Administer treatments, perform diagnostics, and monitor anesthesia
  • Maintain equipment, manage inventory, and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Communicate with clients as a trusted care advocate
