OSU Physicians is proud to announce the opening of our new Powell location in August, and we are currently hiring a Lead LPN to support our clinical team. Requirements

  • Degree in Practical Nursing
  • Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • CPR certified. Knowledge of sterile technique.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an LPN with OSUP, or equivalent experience at OSU within the last year.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
  • Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Analytical ability to gather and interpret data and develop, recommends, and implement solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a preceptor designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the day to day work and productivity of patient care staff
  • Advise and assist staff on problem solving patient/customer issues.
  • Assist supervisor in scheduling employee time off and daily work assignments
  • Address issues associated with clinic operations
  • May act as a clinical preceptor.
  • Aids management in a variety of areas such as but not limited to hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, identifying areas for service or operational improvement, and reinforcing established expectations from management, and scheduling.
