About The Position

Willow Valley Communities is hiring a Lead Landscape Gardener to carry out landscaping and general maintenance on the Willow Valley Communities grounds. This position would assume oversight responsibility in the absence of the Coordinators and/or Manager and would be involved in the training process of new Team Members.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Works with minimal supervision and handles multiple grounds responsibilities simultaneously
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years experience

Responsibilities

• Takes part in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers and pesticides, seeding and sodding lawns, and transplanting plant material.
• Locates and plants shrubs, trees, and flowers.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged branches; provides leadership in accomplishment of task.
• General clean up, weeding, mulching, raking and edging within landscape beds.
• Cleans grounds, removes litter, leaf and debris removal.
• Assists with snow removal.
• Waters lawn and shrubs; maintains plant materials as necessary.
• Provides leadership of others as required.
• Complies with all company safety policies and guidelines related to own personal safety; oversees and promotes safe work practices for fellow Team Members.
• Must be able to interact cordially and professionally with Residents, Team Members and guests.
• Checks with Coordinators and/or Manager for any special instructions or assignments.
• Assumes oversight responsibility in the absence of the Supervisor and/or Manager.
