About The Position

The Lead IT System Analyst at BD is responsible for implementing and improving Operational Technology (OT) solutions in manufacturing facilities, focusing on enhancing operational performance, capability, and cybersecurity. This role involves co-leading Smart Factory systems, providing technical support, and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient plant operations and compliance with best practices.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree preferred, 2 year required in Networking, Software/Application/IT Analyst, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the IT or OT fields required.
  • Experience working with third party vendors or system integrators.
  • Good understanding of networking, Windows PCs and servers, and software implementations.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity controls and their applicability in healthcare, manufacturing, medical devices, IoT, and the intersection of IT and OT.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications from IT or Automation and Controls companies preferred.
  • Medical Device Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Co-Lead new Smart Factory systems and applications like Aveva, eDHR, Digital Twin, Plant Labeling, BMS and SCADA applications.
  • Assist in supporting Windows Servers for Smart Factory Applications and Compute systems.
  • Support OT Strategic Engineer with CyberSecurity vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Learn and apply required Training and Documentation for BD Compliance and Best Practice management for OT systems.
  • Act as a technical resource to the plants and engineering group to support IT/OT solutions to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing enterprise, ensuring a safety-first environment.
  • Complete annual safety requirements and learn Columbus West manufacturing processes including Change Control and Validation requirements.
  • Execute technical tasks including equipment bills of materials, scope of work, estimates/quotes, and provide timely status updates to project managers.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and create user and technical manual documentation for OT systems.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology and Information Security teams to achieve desired outcomes for Columbus West.
