About The Position

Join Kellanova as a Lead IT Engineer - Cybersecurity! Bring your expertise in cloud and application security to a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation meets impact. You'll collaborate with the architecture team to deploy world-class technology and security solutions, managing multiple projects that deliver real value to the business. This role partners with cross-functional teams across IT, operations, plants, and global business units. While we prefer candidates located near our Naperville, IL office who can work in a hybrid capacity, we are also open to remote candidates based in the U.S. where Kellanova operates. At the heart of Kellanova is technology - a key enabler of how we market, sell, and manufacture our well-known and beloved brands to consumers around the globe. You'll join a small, innovative cybersecurity team with a growth mindset, working alongside two other engineers who focus on different areas of security. Together, you'll help shape the future of cybersecurity at Kellanova while protecting our iconic brands like Pringles, Cheez-It, and Pop-Tarts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, with relevant experience in IT and cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud security implementation across multi-cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools including Palo Alto (NGFW, Cortex), SAML/Directory Services, Endpoint Detection and Response, Data Loss Prevention, and SIEM.
  • Expertise in modern malware, threat tactics, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of NIST CSF and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate - Collaborate with the architecture team to design and deploy enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions. Document technical standards and lead the implementation of new tools and services.
  • Collaborate - Act as a technical liaison between business units, IT, developers, and engineering teams. Mentor team members and deliver security training across the organization.
  • Drive Results - Manage multiple cybersecurity projects from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business needs. Lead incident response efforts and guide teams on best practices. Develop and manage KPIs and KRIs to measure the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives.
