About The Position

The Lead Inventory Control Analyst position is based in Washington, DC, and requires a Secret clearance. The role involves managing inventory through various tasks including updating counts, compiling reports, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records. The analyst will work closely with management to improve storage and ordering practices while maintaining high standards of quality and organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of inventory management experience
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to obtain security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
  • Mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ordering inventory from suppliers, main warehouse and securing shipment arrival times
  • Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products
  • Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards
  • Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders
  • Reporting discrepancies in inventory from last count
  • Implementing loss prevention
  • Conducting daily, weekly and monthly inventories
  • Researching the accuracy of product details and testing new products
  • Working with management to identify areas of improvement in storage and ordering practices
  • Handling multiple tasks and people
  • Standing on feet for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, crouching, bending, reaching above shoulders, twisting, crawling, and kneeling as needed
