About The Position

This position involves performing and supervising daily operations within a specific modality, providing leadership for the assigned area. It requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions. The role includes promoting and advocating imaging services by staying updated on technology and equipment changes. The Lead Interventional Radiological Technologist is responsible for maintaining accreditation standards and operating interventional equipment and other relevant devices.

Requirements

  • In Lieu of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program
  • 3 years technical experience
  • Experience in leadership of personnel
  • (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (R) Upon Hire
  • (VI) or Cardio Vascular Imaging - Vascular Imaging Registered Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional Radiographer (CI) Upon Hire
  • CI - Cardiac Interventional Upon Hire
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Performs and supervises modality daily operations
  • Provides leadership relative to the assigned area
  • Requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions
  • Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment
  • Ensures accreditations standards are maintained
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of interventional equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
