The Lead Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing instrumentation and control engineering work for projects. This includes providing technical support for commercial discussions, defining scope matrices for sub-contractors, and planning and monitoring engineering work schedules. The role involves reviewing and commenting on various I&C documents, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with other disciplines. Key responsibilities also include reviewing procurement documents, participating in vendor selection and FAT, leading technical meetings and safety workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL verification), and managing material costs and manhours. The Lead Engineer will act as a point of contact for team members, address comments from clients and authorities, lead in-house I&C design for buildings, and ensure timely implementation of changes. Post-sub-contractor handover, the role continues with document updating, vendor document review, and supporting construction and commissioning, while also driving lessons learned activities.
