About The Position

The Lead Installer & Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and services. This position also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The Lead Installer & Service Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of car wash systems, ancillary products and chemicals.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years field experience
  • Requires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • Strong Mechanical and Plumbing skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
  • Understanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined

Responsibilities

  • Unloading and staging of new equipment on job sites
  • Inspecting equipment prior to installation and documenting any damage occurred during shipment
  • Installation of new car wash equipment
  • Removal of old car wash equipment
  • Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner
  • Requires good communication skills
  • Provides superior customer service when interfacing with customers
  • Knowledge of proper use of power tools, i.e. hammer drills, grinder
  • Accurately perceives information from others
  • Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely and accurately
  • Performs periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch
  • Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.
  • Performs diagnostic analysis
  • Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary
