About The Position

Visual Sound is seeking an experienced Lead Installation Technician for their Corporate Office in Broomall, PA. This role requires building racks and installing various audio-video equipment such as projectors, screens, flat panels, cabling, fiber optics, and control units. The technician will be responsible for installing AV products according to blueprints and specifications, including pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting, and metal fabrication. They will also assist with mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring, and handle the loading and configuration of Crestron control systems. The position requires performing installation tasks efficiently and with high quality.

Requirements

• Knowledge of loading and troubleshooting Crestron, Extron, AMX and Biamp control systems required (not programming)
• Can read CAD generated prints and building blueprints and riser diagrams
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to do advanced troubleshooting on any device
• Must be able to read and write at basic English proficiency
• The ability to perform basic math functions
• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least two years of experience in equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years installing audio visual equipment including video panels, speakers, racks, microphones, A/V cabling and wiring

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge installing and configuring Dolby audio systems
• Experience with Cisco networking including routers, switches and configuring wireless networks
• AVIXA CTS and/or CTS-I certification

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing audio video products and components as specified by blueprints and to specifications
• Pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication
• Assist with mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring
• Loading and configuration of Crestron control systems
• Assist with and perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner
