About The Position

Allied Universal® Technology Services is seeking to hire an Installation Technician III. The Installation Technician III will perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems, including cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware. As an Installation Technician III, this person is expected to be a highly proactive and skilled individual and, at all times, maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services' core values.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Available for rotational on-call duties and occasional overnight travel as needed
  • A minimum of four (4) years of field experience installing and programming electronic security systems for medium- to large-size jobs
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle
  • Meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Maintain accurate daily time entries and provide product training to end-users
  • Possess or has the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic. etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)

  • Manufacture certifications in any of the following: Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House, CCURE, Open Options, AMAG, Brivo, Avigilon, Milestone, Exaqvision, Axis, DMP, Bosch, Edwards (EST), Simplex, Notifier, Firelite

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment
  • Supervise several teams comprised of Security Installation Technician I’s and II’s
  • Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements
  • Manage several medium- to large-sized jobs simultaneously, doing so within approved hours and margin tolerances
  • Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients
  • Troubleshoot new installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
  • Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation
  • Demonstrate Allied Universal’s core values as a highly skilled leader on the Installation Team
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned such as job-site clean-up
