What you will be doing: As the Lead Information Security Software Engineer you will develop, test, deploy, and maintain the custom code and integrations needed to achieve our mission. You will put your experience with modern API-driven web application development to use developing the premier tools used by cyber analysts to investigate, track, and defeat cyber criminals. As a Lead at the Bank, you are critical to driving the direction of features and projects, through peer leadership and influence. Additionally: Develop novel solutions to challenges in detection, response, and intel-related applications and platforms Championing SOLID application design Prepare and run automated tests Participate in Agile ceremonies such as story writing, estimation, sprint planning, retrospective, and standups Create changes to new and existing code through integrated Peer Review (PR) process Identify and propose new integrations, and solutions that increase the security of our applications and business as a whole Establish working relationship with Threat Interdiction (detection, response, intel, red-team) Build upon team quality practices to ensure long term sustainability and maintainability Continually learn new technologies and leverage them to enhance our products, processes and security Mentor more junior engineers in cloud and application design Other duties as assigned. What you should have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 4-8+ years of relevant experience Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including, but not limited to: Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++, C#, or Go. Expertise in 1 or more: API driven middleware, or modern web frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, React, FastAPI, Django, etc) Ability to write readable and complete test code at unit through integration levels AWS experience with modern serverless and hybrid patterns Passion for finding creative and innovative ways to detect and deter cybercriminals. Proven track record of building tooling, automation and/or services in one or multiple languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript) Belief that infrastructure should be deployed as code. Knowledge of tools commonly used for Information Security is bonus, such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, etc. An architect's mindset to understand how systems interconnect and can troubleshoot distributed systems effectively. A mentor mindset and love to model modern methodologies with unit tests, code review, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting. Requirements
