Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience may substitute for degree.
• 8 years of related experience in Security Engineering and/or Information Technology with a security focus.
• 6 years of experience delivering technology solutions in all phases of a solution development lifecycle.
• Experience leading and owning security strategies and initiatives.
• Advanced experience with modern programming/scripting languages and frameworks.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices in security engineering activities.
• Hands-on success with agile delivery methods.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Experience with security best practices in infrastructure/policy as code and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive experience with architecture design of large-scale database platforms.
• Experience with modern programming/scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, C#, and Java.
• Deep understanding of platform engineering concepts and security architecture design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security requirements are addressed in all aspects of solution/application enablement and sustainment lifecycle.
• Design, develop, code, integrate, and test complex technical solutions with a focus on security.
• Lead code/design reviews and engineering efficiencies for effective operations and planning.
• Independently resolve complex production issues and lead troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture to define direction for complex key technologies within a specific security domain.
• Participate in community impact through training, conferences, and professional societies.
• Leverage Site Reliability Engineering practices in security domain activities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex systems, tools, and vendor integrations.
• Conduct continuous research and analysis to identify and resolve security issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
