Lead Infant Teacher
About The Position
The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn, NJ. This role requires someone passionate about early childhood education, committed to fostering a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will be available to work between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with salary commensurate with experience. The Sapling School is a community-focused early learning center dedicated to providing high-quality education and care for young children. Located in Fair Lawn, NJ, we emphasize nurturing growth through creative and individualized teaching approaches. Requirements
- Previous experience teaching or caring for infants in a daycare or early childhood setting.
- Relevant certification or educational background in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infant development and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within the scheduling window of 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
- Provide attentive and compassionate care, ensuring the safety and well-being of each infant throughout the day.
- Establish trusting relationships with children and their families, maintaining open and positive communication.
- Observe and document each child's growth and development, tailoring activities to meet individual needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the educational program and overall school experience.
