About The Position

We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our Lake Orion team. As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of infants, leading the day-to-day activities with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience and care for infants utilizing the High Scope curriculum. Position Details: Status: Regular, full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:30am-5:30pm) Pay rate- $16-$20/hour (based on certification or degree and years of experience) Location: Onsite, Lake Orion, MI Our Lake Orion campus has earned the Certificate of Recognition from Great Start Quality, the equivalent of a five-star rating, and has consistently been voted readers’ choice Best of the Best. Requirements

CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
Minimum of one year experience in an infant classroom required
CPR Certification
Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child-related field preferred

Responsibilities

Ensures overall safety of children
Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
