About The Position

We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our Lake Orion team. As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and well-being of infants, leading the day-to-day activities with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience and care for infants utilizing the High Scope curriculum. Position Details: Status: Regular, full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:30am-5:30pm) Pay rate- $16-$20/hour (based on certification or degree and years of experience) Location: Onsite, Lake Orion, MI Our Lake Orion campus has earned the Certificate of Recognition from Great Start Quality, the equivalent of a five-star rating, and has consistently been voted readers’ choice Best of the Best. Requirements

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
  • Minimum of one year experience in an infant classroom required
  • CPR Certification
  • Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers

Responsibilities

  • Ensures overall safety of children
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
  • Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
  • Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
  • Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
  • Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
