Requirements

  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Infant Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Meets background check eligibility
  • Ability to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High level of engagement and attentiveness (not passive supervision)
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable
  • Passion for early childhood education and infant development

Nice To Haves

  • PA Teaching Certificate or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous infant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes
  • Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment
  • Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service
