About The Position

We are searching for a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team! Our Associates enjoy full-time hours, Monday - Friday, job stability, and job growth. What You'll Do: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Electrical & Controls: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems up to and including 480 VAC, including motors, VFDs, motor starters, relays, sensors, and control panels.Diagnose control circuit failures using schematics and electrical prints.Perform advanced troubleshooting on PLC-controlled equipment, including I/O diagnostics and basic logic review (no programming required)Verify proper operation of safety circuits, interlocks, E-stops, and guarding systems in accordance with OSHA and NFPA standards. Mechanical Systems: Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, pumps, dryers, presses, and other industrial production equipment.Conduct precision alignment, tensioning, and adjustment of mechanical components to manufacturer specifications.Fabricate or modify components as required to support repairs and equipment improvements. Steam & Boiler Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain steam distribution systems, including steam traps, valves, condensate return systems, heat exchangers, and piping.Support safe operation of boiler and thermal systems in compliance with applicable codes and permits.Identify steam-related inefficiencies and failures that impact production, safety, or energy usage. Plumbing, Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Diagnose and repair industrial plumbing systems, including water, wastewater, chemical dosing, and process piping.Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, regulators, and compressors.Identify pressure, flow, or contamination issues affecting equipment performance. Welding & Fabrication: Perform MIG/TIG/Stick welding to support equipment repair and improvements. Maintenance Systems & Documentation: Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks using the CMMS, including accurate work order documentation. Maintain equipment history, parts usage, and maintenance records to support data-driven decision-making. Assist in developing PM procedures and job plans for complex equipment. Knowledge In-depth knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, reliability principles, and preventive maintenance strategies. Working knowledge of industrial equipment, boilers, wastewater systems, and industrial utilities. Understanding of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 or more years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical equipment, troubleshooting & repair, and safe work practices.
  • Experience working in production environment.
  • Be able to read building and electrical schematics.
  • Basic math skills along with excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently in an often fast-paced environment.
