Job Summary: The Lead I at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for guiding and overseeing a small team or specific tasks within a manufacturing or production environment. This role involves ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and providing hands-on support and training to team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting work instructions, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weight, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a small team of operators or technicians to achieve production targets and quality objectives.
  • Allocate daily tasks and assignments, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to production schedules.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members, fostering skill development and promoting best practices.
  • Monitor production processes and product quality, identifying and addressing any deviations or issues promptly.
  • Perform hands-on tasks and operate equipment as needed to support production requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to resolve production challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
