As a Lead Hybrid Network Engineer , you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Network Engineering team reporting to the Senior Manager Global Network Engineering, you will support a variety of, globally distributed systems that support both Hotel and Corporate Office operations. Requirements

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
  • Five (5) years of proven Network Engineering expertise that includes hands-on experience
  • Two (2) years of experience with AVI NSX Load Balancing technology and expertise in managing the platform in a hybrid implementation
  • Experience with Amazon AWS, with core Cloud Networking products such as ALB, NLB, or CloudWAN
  • Experience managing both traditional and cloud-native DNS solutions such as BIND9 and AWS Route53
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an international technology environment managing large, globally distributed hybrid networks
  • This is a hybrid role and would require to be near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)
  • Travel up to 10%

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Seven (7) + years of professional experience in Technology or a related field
  • Experience in TLS/SSL certificate management
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or Go
  • Experience with various network monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds or Datadog
  • Experience with containerization products such as Podman, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Experience with F5 LTM Load Balancers
  • Expert-level knowledge in load-balancing strategies and technologies

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements from various teams and work with vendors to build those solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers in troubleshooting, planning, communication, and more.
  • Lead multi-phased, multi-year projects as a leader on the Network Engineering team.
  • Review, develop, and monitor baseline and growth metrics/indicators to ensure standardized platform growth and resiliency.
  • Contribute to and maintain high-quality documentation about various systems in Hilton's Global Network.
  • Oversee all infrastructure deployments from the initial design phase to operations for DNS and Load Balancing, particularly BIND9, AVI NSX Load Balancers, and AWS Route53.
  • As a subject matter expert in AVI NSX Load Balancers in conjunction with Hilton vendors, provide guidance and hands-on support for Hilton's global implementation, including AVI Control Plane, Data Plane, and GSLB.
  • Documenting complex technical requirements and architectures
