Pay: $40 - $48 / hr Schedule: M - F; 8:30a - 5p Location: Corvallis, OR | HP Campus Lead HVAC Technician - JLL What this job involves: We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician to join our facilities management team. This role involves leading a team of technicians while performing complex HVAC maintenance, repairs, and installations across commercial properties. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and exceptional problem-solving skills. What your day to day will look like: Lead and mentor a team of HVAC service technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring quality workmanship across all projects. Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, VAV systems, and building automation controls. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and develop comprehensive service schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend system lifecycles. Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot complex system failures using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Coordinate with property managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and tenant satisfaction. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and equipment histories using computerized maintenance management systems. Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Train junior technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies. Participate in equipment procurement decisions and provide technical specifications for system upgrades or replacements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • EPA Universal Certification, relevant state licensing as applicable.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and building automation systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and computerized maintenance management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship or Associate degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in specific equipment brands or building automation systems.
  • Experience with energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.
  • OSHA safety training certification.
