About The Position

We’re seeking a Lead Commercial Service Technician with deep expertise in commercial refrigeration to take charge of field operations, mentor junior techs, and serve as a frontline ambassador for our brand. This is a leadership role for a seasoned professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC repair
  • Proven ability to lead service calls independently and manage customer relationships
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Professional appearance and commitment to excellence
  • Completion of a successful background check and drug screen.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Driving record must align with our safety standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hot-side equipment and food/beverage systems preferred
  • CFESA certification and EPA Universal Certification
  • Computer literacy and comfort with service management platforms

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute service calls for commercial refrigeration systems, including reach-in/walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and prep equipment
  • Serve as a technical authority, guiding diagnostics and repairs with precision and efficiency
  • Mentor and support junior technicians through hands-on training and field coaching
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all customer interactions
  • Coordinate with dispatch, sales, and management to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide prompt and accurate quotes for suggested repairs and/replacements
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to customer retention
  • Maintain service vehicle and manage parts inventory with accountability
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs
  • Document service activities and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement
