About The Position

Performs senior functions relating to coordinating and leading the HVAC Shop for various assignments throughout the ability. Partners with the leadership to prioritize work, staffing and ensure that the needs of the Department are met. Coordinates and collaborates with other staff to ensure that departmental outcomes are achieved; has specialized knowledge of an area and is a resource to management and staff.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Performs senior functions relating to the HVAC Shop for various assignments throughout the facility.
• Leads, guides, and coordinates HVAC mechanics; trains staff; assesses staff’s talent and capabilities.
• Assigns work to department personnel and inspects assignment to ensure proper workmanship and quality outcomes and completion of assignment.
• Coordinates and collaborates with other staff to assure that departmental outcomes are achieved.
• Assists management to stock shop materials.
• Maintains a safe working environment.
• Performs emergency repairs as needed communicates these repairs appropriately.
• Assures code compliance by using the knowledge base of the trade.
• Performs related duties as required.
