About The Position

We’re seeking a Lead HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor on the Regional Retail Leadership Team. This role blends strategic HR partnership with hands-on leadership, ensuring teammate engagement, compliance, and organizational success across multiple retail locations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HR experience with multi-unit location management (50+ sites)
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal HR laws and practices
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (day trips, occasional overnight)
  • Relational, trust-building, and consultative approach with all levels of leadership
  • Proven experience in change management and organizational development

Nice To Haves

  • Retail HR experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • SHRM or HRCI certification
  • Union environment experience
  • Automotive industry background

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with store leaders to deliver proactive HR support aligned with business goals
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Champion values and culture by fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging environment
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement enterprise-wide initiatives in talent, compensation, benefits, and DEI
  • Analyze HR data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and operational impact
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws and company policies
  • Lead change management efforts and initiatives that drive teammate engagement and retention
  • Oversee headcount management and partner with recruitment teams to ensure timely staffing
