About The Position

The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for leading and supporting the Housekeepers of the following areas: Procedure areas, patient care areas, rest rooms, offices and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support. The routine work of this employee, depending upon area of assignment, consists of performing all the duties and responsibilities of the Housekeeper and Floor Care Technician positions. May perform terminal cleaning of rooms as required. Moving of furniture and other heavy equipment is accomplished as directed. Provides training and guidance to the Housekeeping Staff. Trains any new hires of the Cleaning procedures required at the facility. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Performs project work and other environmental services duties as directed by department director.

Requirements

  • Experience in housekeeping or environmental services in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to lead and train staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience in a housekeeping role.
  • Certification in environmental services or related field.
