Serves as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties. Leads a team of housekeepers assigned to clean suites. Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards. Has the authority to assign room assignments and Public Areas for cleaning to the Housekeepers and House Persons when the Manager or Supervisor is not present. Organizes and takes a close inventory of all Housekeeping Storages. Communicates with Supervisors and Managers on job performance but does not deliver any disciplinary actions. Ensure that all housekeeping staff follow the guidelines and SOPs for their day-to-day duties. Discusses work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property. Speaks to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language. Talks with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information. Exchanges information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email). Performs all the regular tasks of a Housekeeper or House Person which include, but not limited to, cleaning suites, House Person duties, public area cleaning, and deep cleaning projects. Perform other duties as assigned.
