About The Position

The position involves serving as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties. The individual will lead a team of housekeepers assigned to clean suites, ensuring that work tasks are completed on time and meet appropriate quality standards. The role includes the authority to assign room assignments and public areas for cleaning to the housekeepers and house persons when the manager or supervisor is not present. The individual will organize and take a close inventory of all housekeeping storages and communicate with supervisors and managers on job performance, although they do not deliver any disciplinary actions. It is essential to ensure that all housekeeping staff follow the guidelines and SOPs for their day-to-day duties. The position requires discussing work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property. Clear, appropriate, and professional language must be used when speaking to guests and co-workers. The individual will also perform all regular tasks of a housekeeper or house person, which include cleaning suites, house person duties, public area cleaning, and deep cleaning projects, along with any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 Years of experience in housekeeping or 1 Year in a luxury hotel housekeeping.
