About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and well-organized Host to welcome our guests, manage the seating floor, and thoroughly complete additional duties as assigned by MOD.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hosting experience at upscale, reputable restaurants
• Genuine enthusiasm for hosting, dedicated to fostering an atmosphere where guests experience enjoyment, ease, and connection.
• Natural conversational skills, adept at engaging with guests in a relaxed manner.
• Demonstrated integrity and quick decision-making ability.
• Clear and articulate communication skills, both in person and over the phone, ensuring callers receive information with courtesy and a composed demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcomes and greets guests upon arrival
• Ensures a smooth flow at the entrance and throughout the restaurant at all times
• Makes guests feel comfortable while waiting
• Escorts them to the bar or directly to their table
• Takes part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and responds confidently to guest inquiries
• Exhibits familiarity with menus items and ingredients
• Answers phone calls and provides information on reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services
• Ensures proper levels of stationary are maintained in reception area at all time
• Interacts with guests as they leave the restaurant to ensure a memorable experience
