About The Position
The Lead Histotechnologist is responsible for seeing that all routine and special histology procedures are performed in accordance within expected guidelines and procedures. Must be able to recognize abnormal results and troubleshoot resolutions. Superior organizational, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as communication skills that enhance teamwork and promote a positive work environment. The Lead Histotechnologist should be proficient in working independently and in cooperation with the Manager. Responsible for training new and current staff, as well as students. Acts as a resource person for histology and surgical pathology staff.
