Histologic Technicians prepare slides of sections of body tissue for microscopic examination by pathologists. This work is often done while a surgical team awaits a pathologist’s diagnosis. As a Lead Histologic Technician, you will use your histology laboratory experience to resolve and direct other histotechnologist’s work activities to solve day-to-day operational issues in the absence of the supervisor. You will do this through performing and documenting quality assurance activities and recommending quality and workflow process improvement.
