About The Position

Provides day to day supervision to maximize efficiency, quality and productivity. Provides supervision of specimen preparation, cutting, staining and special test performance by histo-technologists. Supervises monitors and/or distributes work as required in order to maximize efficiency and avoid overtime. Makes recommendation to avoid the use of overtime. Coverage for calls must be assured and clearly communicated to the Pathologist. Supervises workflow to achieve/maintain stated turn around time goals. Monitors specimen handling and identification within the section. Coordinates with pathologists regarding quality f slides/stains and implements timely and thorough corrective action when necessary. Documents all steps taken to correct problem. Identifies instrument or procedural problems, makes assessment, and takes action as necessary and documents accordingly. Estimated pay range for this position is $36.16 - $47.01 / hour depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper
  • Clinical Laboratory Supervisor
  • Clinical Laboratory Technologist
  • Laboratory and supervisory experience.
  • TN - Clinical Laboratory Technologist or SU - Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license required.
  • 5 Years Minimum Required Experience

Nice To Haves

  • ASCP certification is preferred.
