Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings will be necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 12+ years of highway design experience, including intersections and roundabouts
  • Strong skills in drainage and stormwater management design
  • Experience designing Maintenance and Traffic Protection (MPT)
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects effectively
  • A self-motivated, team-oriented attitude
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certificate
  • Experience with NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, and/or PennDOT
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation

Responsibilities

  • Perform roadway and highway safety inspections and analysis
  • Design highway geometry, access points, drainage systems, guide rails, signage, striping, MPT (Maintenance and Protection of Traffic), right-of-way, and related components
  • Prepare detailed reports, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid package documents
  • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to ensure accurate and timely project delivery
  • Visit active construction sites to support clients and provide design insights
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and oversee project compliance
  • Lead client meetings and maintain strong, ongoing client relationships
