Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • 15+ years (BS) or 10+ years (MS) of experience in hardware design, development, or test engineering.
  • Proficiency with laboratory and test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
  • Strong programming and scripting skills for test automation and data analytics (Python, C/C++, TCL, LabVIEW/TestStand).
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, circuit design, PCB layout, and schematic capture tools (Cadence, Altium).
  • Experience with signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and related simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (EMC/EMI, UL, CE, military standards).
  • Analytical thinker with advanced problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communicator, able to distill complex technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Self-starter who thrives in independent roles and manages multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and developing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and procedures for new hardware products, covering functional, performance, stress, production and reliability testing.
  • Designing, building, and deploying automated test equipment (ATE), custom test fixtures, and software/scripts to streamline hardware verification and data collection.
  • Executing hands-on testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and production systems using advanced lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Leading failure analysis investigations and implementing robust root cause corrective actions to address hardware issues discovered during development or in the field.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams-including hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing-to provide design for testability feedback and support seamless product transitions into production.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, test requirements, and reports; presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives for test methodologies and processes, aligning with industry standards such as CMMI and Six Sigma.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth within the team.
