About The Position

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. Essential Functions include leading a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions, completing end-of-shift reports and close out procedures, and following company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco). The role also involves maintaining an organized and clean work area, using suggested selling methods to promote and sell products, and ensuring quality service is delivered to every guest. Additionally, the position requires handling guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines, resolving team member conflict, and communicating issues to management. The individual will determine break schedules and team member placement during shifts and assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining the deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, and making coffee. The role models behaviors that support the company's common purpose, ensuring guests and team members are supported at the highest level, and all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
