About The Position

We're looking for an experienced growth product leader who excels at connecting the dots between product, marketing, engineering, and data to accelerate user growth. As the Lead Product Manager for the Growth team, you'll help millions of learners and teachers find value in Quizlet faster, come back more often, and stay engaged over time. You'll work with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers, and data scientists in building and scaling systems that fuel sustainable growth for the business. You will be someone who thrives at high-velocity experiments, identifies structural improvements to the growth funnel, and develops frameworks that make growth more repeatable and predictable for the business. While helping us redefine what it means to drive healthy growth, ensuring we build habits that serve learners, teachers, and the business. As a senior leader within Growth, you'll play a key role in shaping how we think about experimentation, data-driven decision making, and user motivation across the company. You'll mentor other PMs, collaborate closely with marketing, and help develop our growth practice so that we can bring Quizlet to new audiences around the world. We're happy to share that this is an onsite position in our San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience in consumer technology, SaaS, or mobile applications, with a focus on growth, engagement, and user lifecycle
  • Demonstrated success in defining and leading multi-quarter product strategies
  • Deep expertise in developing roadmaps that balance quick wins with long-term initiatives
  • Proven ability to structure lines of work that ladder up to broader business objectives
  • Strong track record of improving onboarding, increasing activation, and driving retention through product-led initiatives
  • Highly analytical and data-driven-comfortable framing problems, designing analyses, interpreting results, and making informed decisions at scale
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills with a bias for action and a track record of aligning stakeholders around strategic outcomes
  • Deep product intuition and user empathy, with a focus on first-time user experiences and long-term habit formation
  • Experience designing and optimizing cross-platform experiences across both mobile and web

Responsibilities

  • Own funnel health and performance reviews, regularly evaluating the end-to-end user journey to identify drop-offs, opportunities, and compounding effects across surfaces and channels
  • Partner with marketing and creative to ensure acquisition and product experiences form cohesive, measurable growth loops
  • Drive alignment across product areas so growth principles are embedded in feature development, not just bolted on afterward
  • Contribute to quarterly planning and prioritization, balancing near-term impact with investments that build durable, compound growth
  • Collaborate with research and design to deeply understand user motivation, pain points, and key areas of friction that we can translate into actionable insights
  • Communicate the results of your learnings across the company, turning successful experiments into playbooks that other PMs can follow
  • Mentor and develop other PMs on the growth team, setting the pace for growth product craft and analytical rigor

  • Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $185,000 - $230,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
