About The Position

The Lead Groundskeeper assists the Maintenance Foreman in overseeing grounds staff, groundskeeping operations, and related projects. This role is responsible for maintaining all landscaping and ensuring all hospital properties are kept in a clean and safe condition. Key duties include performing all snow removal operations, maintaining all department vehicles, and performing moves of equipment, supplies, and furniture. The Lead Groundskeeper is also required to operate various power tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, weed whackers, edgers, tractors, snowblowers, and snowplows.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two to three years of previous work related experience, which would be in a lead or foreman position
• Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle
