Scenthound is the nation’s leading dog wellness franchise focused on routine hygiene and preventative care. Our mission is simple: help dogs live longer, healthier lives through routine wellness care. We are opening our new Monument Scenter and are looking for a Lead Groomer who enjoys grooming dogs, mentoring others, and helping create a positive, team-oriented environment.

This role is perfect for a groomer who wants leadership responsibilities without the chaos of a traditional grooming salon.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of dog grooming experience preferred
• OR graduation from a professional grooming school
• Knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming tools
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Perform puppy cuts according to Scenthound grooming standards
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to trimmers and bathers
• Train and coach new team members on Scenthound techniques and standards
• Maintain a safe and calm environment for dogs and team members
• Assist the team when needed to keep the Scenter running on schedule
• Ensure high-quality service and consistent grooming results
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to Scenthound sanitary practices
• Collaborate with the Scenter Manager to support team development
