About The Position

In the process of meat processing the Grinding Lead will oversee an assigned group who are responsible for the meat grinding process to meet compliance standards and productivity goals.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required for a slaughter processor -trimmer/cutter career and advanced training.
  • Must speak, read, and write English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, meat processing preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, wet, humid, and odorous environments.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including Saturdays.
  • Results driven and employee oriented.
  • Commitment to following safety policies and practices and wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Uphold company policies and ethical standards.
  • Good leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to attend classes or train as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist to complete grinding processing schedule daily.
  • Prevent down time.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and policies to grind meat.
  • Provide assigned employees with direction, technical training, and safety training, including food quality and grinding policies and procedures.
  • Determine proper arrangement of line employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
